The main responsility of the teacher will be to teach the English B curriculum of the IBDP, but the teacher will also be responsible for designing and delivering an effective English as a Second Language (ESL) programme at large, and will be required to take part in other IBDP activities such as CAS (Creativity, Activity, and Service).
The candidate should be a certified IBDP English B teacher with an excellent proven teaching record. The candidate must be a native speaker of English. The candidate is expected to show creativity, flexibility, enthusiasms, and organizational skills in conducting English teaching activities, with the specific focus of raising the English level of mainland Chinese ESL students. Previous English teaching experience in mainland China is a major plus, and the ability to teach English A is advantageous but not essential.
